Joy Haugabook (she/they) is the owner of Imagined By Joy Photography. She is a Black, queer visual storyteller from St. Petersburg, Florida, who utilizes photography and writing as a medium to preserve personal and collective memories to cultivate connection. She began her photography journey eleven years ago, experimenting with my cellphone and the world around me. In 2020, several life changes converged to bring me back to this creative practice in a much deeper way. Photography became a mechanism for their survival. In addition to offering professional photography and graphic design services in the Tampa Bay area, they use this visual art practice as a tool for storytelling, healing, and connection.
